Russia-US dialogue 'ongoing', can develop co-operation 'in energy sector and many other areas' - Dmitriev on latest trends at BRICS+ Fashion Week01:30
Description

Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) CEO Kirill Dmitriev revealed that dialogue between Russia and the US was continuing, speaking on the sidelines of the BRICS+ Fashion Summit in Moscow on Wednesday.

"All we can say is that the dialogue with the US is ongoing, and there are certainly many areas for co-operation. <...> Russia and the US can develop successful projects together, just as they have done in the past. We will therefore continue the dialogue," he said.

He was in Washington on Monday for talks with the US Treasury and Energy departments.

In addition, Dmitriev noted the high level of interest in the Russian fashion industry from abroad.

"Today's meeting is very important, with many BRICS countries discussing how to work together to develop the fashion industry and help brands become more global. And here we are seeing simply immense interest in Russia and a realisation that many of our brands have grown very rapidly and have not only filled the niches left by those Western brands that have withdrawn, but have also begun to successfully expand into other international markets ", RDIF CEO added.

The BRICS+ Fashion Summit organised as part of the 7th Moscow Fashion Week will take place from September 28 to 30.

Participants will discuss changes in macroeconomic conditions, shifts in consumer behaviour, the use of artificial intelligence in design and production, as well as tools for scaling up brands and entering international markets.
