World media professionals and experts participating in the BRICS Summit in New Delhi spoke on Sunday about the importance of the UAE's participation in the summit and its role in enhancing cooperation among the group's countries in the fields of investment, technology, and artificial intelligence, along with its position as a link between the countries of the Global South and Western countries.
Ben Benedict Jansen, a member of the Wiki Authors Association and a media professional, described the partnership as a "win-win", noting the UAE's political and financial standing and its role in connecting different markets and economies.
"The UAE is pretty famous. So it's a gateway to the global South actually, when it comes to politics, if it comes to finance," Jansen added, emphasising that there is great potential for cooperation between BRICS and the UAE.
For his part, Ahmed Gamal, an expert specialising in artificial intelligence and knowledge transfer, said that the UAE had already begun building an openness to investment in multiple fields, and has advanced in artificial intelligence and technology.
The BRICS countries unanimously adopted the 'New Delhi Declaration 2026,' affirming their support for a more representative international order, reform of global institutions, and enhanced cooperation in the fields of sustainable development and inclusive growth.
