Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim brought an unexpected twist to the BRICS gala dinner in New Delhi on Saturday, singing a legendary Kishore Kumar classic for leaders and delegates.

Footage shows Anwar gathered by the piano to belt out the Kishore Kumar classic 'Khwaab Ho Tum Ya Koi Haqeeqat' at the Bharat Mandapam banquet... momentarily stealing the spotlight from high-stakes summit diplomacy.

It was not his first public rendition of the 1965 song. During a visit to India in 2024, Anwar sang the same track during an interview and spoke of his admiration for Kishore Kumar.

The performance came during the 18th BRICS Summit, which Malaysia is attending as a partner country. Malaysia has held BRICS partner status since January 2025.
