Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in the Indian capital earlier, with his own visit running from September 11-13. On Friday, the Russian leader will address the plenary session of the annual BRICS Business Forum and visit the Innoprom India international industrial exhibition alongside Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

That exhibition is taking place in New Delhi from September 9-11, featuring business sessions and meetings focused on trade, investment and industrial co-operation.

The BRICS summit takes place on September 12-13. The Russian and Indian sides are expected to discuss cooperation in artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and strategic raw materials.
