"As far as the supposed threat to the aircraft is concerned, it did not exist. The Ukrainians themselves have already acknowledged this. As for attempts to organise various kinds of provocations by the Kiev regime, that is obvious. <...> The Ukrainians have tried, are trying and, apparently, will continue trying to stage provocations in order to draw their Western handlers more deeply and more closely into the war," he said.
Earlier, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store said on a local television channel that the aircraft had been 'nearly shot down' by a drone while departing from Chisinau for Oslo.
Store did not specify the source of the information or provide details on whom the UAV belonged to or how close it was to the aircraft.
Referring to strikes on Ukrainian vessels in the Black Sea, Peskov stated they came after Kiev began striking Russia’s 'civilian infrastructure and economic facilities'.
"Now Pandora's box is open. A huge number of commercial vessels are being used to transport weapons, ammunition, fuel for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and so on and so forth. These vessels are being destroyed and will continue to be destroyed," he continued.
On September 10, the Russian Defence Ministry said its troops continued carrying out group strikes against logistics centres, Ukrainian seaports and vessels operating in the interests of the Ukrainian army.
On September 8, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said it was impossible to monitor compliance with a moratorium on attacks in the Black Sea.
