"This working visit will provide a significant boost to Russian-Brazilian co-operation in both the military and civilian maritime spheres and will facilitate experience exchanges in the implementation of national maritime policy," he said.

"We see that co-operation in this area is becoming particularly relevant amid growing geopolitical turbulence, arbitrary changes to maritime navigation rules, violations of generally accepted principles of international law, and the imposition of unilateral and unlawful restrictions by Western countries," Patrushev added.
Celso Amorim highlighted Brazil’s interest in joint projects with Russia aimed at exchanging expertise and promoting technological development.
"We believe in the value of multipolarity and multilateralism. I would also like to emphasise the importance of Brazil’s imports of diesel and fertilisers. <...> I would like to take advantage of your presence here - not only as Maritime Board Chair, but also as an influential figure within the Russian government - to convey our interest and our concern regarding the supply of these two products. We hope that our joint efforts will contribute to maintaining and expanding our trade," he concluded.
Patrushev also met with Brazilian Ports and Airports Ministry Executive Secretary Thairyne Oliveira. The two sides discussed prospects for co-operation between logistics companies and ways to improve shipping efficiency.
He later held talks with the Executive Secretary of Brazil's Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services Rodrigo Zerbone Loureiro, focusing on expanding bilateral ties in the shipbuilding and fisheries sectors.
