Russian Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) Minister Alexander Kurenkov arrived in New Delhi to take part in a BRICS emergency services meeting.

Footage shot on Friday shows the minister greeting the Indian representative and shaking hands.

The Indian capital will host a meeting of the working group on disaster risk reduction, a meeting of the heads of the BRICS member states’ emergency services, and the third meeting of the Joint Russian-Indian Commission on Co-operation in the Field of Emergency Prevention and Response.

Following the event, the heads of the emergency services of the BRICS countries are scheduled to adopt a joint statement.
