Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov quipped that he and Malaysian counterpart Mohamad Hasan should 'satisfy those heinous' media representatives by posing for a joint photo, ahead of talks on the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting in New Delhi on Friday.
"Let's satisfy those heinous [media guys]," Lavrov said, welcoming his colleague. "Nice to see you. And we just had a very successful visit from your King [Sultan Ibrahim]."

The Russian Foreign Ministry reported that they discussed key areas of bilateral co-operation and also exchanged views on regional and international matters. Special attention was given to preparations for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Malaysia, which will be marked in 2027.
