Russia, China, India can unite Eurasia together - Director of Centre for Strategic Studies for India's armed forces04:54
Description

Director of Centre for Strategic Studies for India's armed forces Rajendra Singh Yadav said Russia, China and India could play a central role in the integration process of the Eurasian continent, on the sidelines of the III International Conference on Eurasian Security on Tuesday.

"Russia, China and India are the three countries which can possibly take on this responsibility of getting everybody else together. And I'm sure that if you take back historically, it is the central part [of Eurasia] which is being held by Russia and China, and that is what is creating insecurity amongst the West, but it is the periphery which also has to be taken care of," he said.

Yadav also stated that the US was striving to "maintain its preeminence and dominance across the globe", adding that an "emerging Russia, an assertive China and many middle powers" were challenging it.

"That is important to know that the way things are happening across the globe, they are creating a sense of insecurity all across. And Eurasia being the largest landmass is definitely concerned about it. But what is more important is that if we have to take a step forward and do something about it, then we ought to be very, very clear as to why things are happening across the globe," he added.

In turn, Director of the Centre for Central Eurasian Studies at Mumbai University Sanjay Deshpande stated that Moscow, Beijing and Delhi should "come together against the unipolarity of the United States".

The III International Conference on Eurasian Security is taking place in Minsk from October 28-29. High-ranking representatives from CSTO, CIS, and SCO member states are taking part, discussing bilateral co-operation and exchanging views on international issues.
