Egyptian presidential spokesman Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said el-Sisi stressed the need for concrete steps to deepen the partnership, including increasing bilateral trade to $12 billion and attracting more Indian investment to Egypt, particularly in manufacturing, technology, clean energy and the automotive industry.
El-Shennawy said Modi reaffirmed India's commitment to developing relations and encouraging Indian companies to invest in Egypt and explore new opportunities. The two leaders also discussed cooperation in renewable energy, green hydrogen, pharmaceuticals and information technology.
The meeting also covered regional and international issues, including the Palestinian cause. According to the spokesman, el-Sisi called for crises to be resolved through peaceful means and negotiation, with priority given to diplomacy, international law, state sovereignty and territorial integrity, while urging an end to escalation and the use of force.
